We’re often taught to chase the C1 level as fast as possible.
But how often do we pause, enjoying something simple as the sound of a letter “Ї”?

As an artist and writer myself I know how important for people, who value creativity to have the community, where they can belong, connect with each other and create while learning the Language. So I opened the space space called М'який знак (the Soft Sign).

The soft sign letter "ь" is the part of the Ukrainian alphabet and its role is to soften the consonants. Like in the words "день" (day), or "тінь" (shadow).

Because I don’t want you to study Ukrainian, staying stuck in the grammar or endlessly memorising the words. I want you to meet with the language with softness and care, to live it, to feel you have the right to create with it at the level you are now!

Meet your teacher

I am Marichka Kosiichuk, a Ukrainian Language teacher, writer, audio description instructor and Ukrainian volunteer. I love contemporary theatre and documentary movies. I live in Ukraine and come from the Carpathian mountains.

Here I want my students to feel the belonging to the language first. I am not here to sell and teach you the C1 language book. The materials itself feel empty without your own connection with the language and people around. I want to invite you to think deeply and make pauses for reflection in your process.

If that philosophy aligns with you, then I’d love to hear about you and help you find the best solution in learning Ukrainian!
